Here are the things you can do to get your new phone in sooner:
Check Online: If you’ve got mobile internet like CLEAR internet you can check from wherever to see if your phone’s in, particularly if this iPhone will be your first smartphone. Email and store alerts are a good way to stay on top of it.
Check the Store: Go in as often as you can to be seen at your local carrier – they won’t want to see you coming but it will incentivize them to get moving on your phone!
Check eBay: If you haven’t managed to get your name on a waiting list eBay is a great second option. You may end up paying a little more for your phone but tons of dealers who scored a big lot when they came out are now selling the phones online.

When Steve Jobs stepped on stage in April of 2007 and announced The iPhone, the world changed forever.
The iPhone is so unconventional from the original cellphone, it had companies searching for months of how to replicate what the device could do. While most phones could make phone calls, have a basic calculator, and play simple games, the iPhone can do more and better!
The original iPhone was an iPod, with touch capability where games, and apps could be used and played. You could watch movies and listen to music on it, and it had a camera. You could save all your photos to share your very on slide show. You could also browse the internet with the Safari app, and check your email!
With the iPhone 3GS, it was a lot faster than the original. The original ran on the EDGE network for AT&T. It was slow AT BEST. For the 3GS, it ran on the 3g network, and it was blazing fast! The graphics were enhanced where real 3D games could be played.
With the iPhone 4, it became the first phone that could do all the above, AND have video conferencing with anyone with another camera connected to the internet.
After four years, the iPhone is still on top of the market, and the pioneer of future phones.

The iPhone today has more than 100,000 applications through the app store. Booting up the app store, and browsing through the applications can get rather overwhelming, especially if you don’t know what you’re looking for. To make things easier, listed below are some of the highest rated, downloadable apps available today.

Facebook: Who doesn’t use this massive social networking portal? This application allows you to do everything that you can do on their website, but in a mobile-friendly format. View your news feed, look at other profiles, answer messages and more.

RunKeeper: For those that love to run outside for exercise, this application will keep track of your runs whenever it’s enabled. Using GPS technologies, it can remember your routes, give the total miles ran, the time it took, average MPH and so much more. The best thing about this application is that it doesn’t cost a dime.

Skype: Just like the popular computer application, the Skype app on the iPhone allows you to log into your account. From there, you’re going to be able to make calls, as well as video chat without having to use up your minutes. This is one of the best ways to make phone calls overseas without paying a premium carrier rate.

Cell phones are becoming so advanced nowadays that they can do just about anything by simply adding a feature. Some features can be added by calling the provider. These features have to be paid for on a monthly basis. These are things like hotspot. Hotspot is the ability to access the internet via WiFi from places such as cafes, restaurants, schools, and certain other facilities. The addition of this feature usually carries a hefty price. However, the feature is excellent for people who would rather use WiFi for a connection.

One neat feature that you can get for the iPhone by downloading an application is the tethering feature. This allows the user to hook up his or her iPhone to the computer and share the iPhone’s internet access with the computer. Tethering is a really great feature when a customer is trying to cut down on monthly expenses. Separate internet service can sometimes cost as much as a hundred dollars a month. With tethering the customer is already paying for internet service on the phone, so sharing with his or her computer does not cost extra.

There are many more special features that can be acquired on the iPhone. The list is endless. The more one searches, the more features can be found.

The iPhone began its journey in 2005. The first iPhone was released to the public in 2007. That year was the beginning of a new era for mobile phones. Hundreds of people waited outside, so they could be among the first group of people who purchased the iPhone. There have been many mobile phones introduced to compete with the iPhone. The iPhone continues to win over his competitors’ year at the year. Hundreds of people still camp outside of electronics stores to buy the newest iPhone. Each new iPhone has more features than the one before it.

The iPhone has several applications. There are games about birds and pigs that most people can play for hours. The more outrageous the concept, the more popular the game is. Who would have ever thought that a game about plants and zombies or ninjas and fruit would keep millions of people entertained? The iPhone is also popular for all the applications it has to help people get through their day. The iPhone has travel applications that let people compare vacation packages. There are also weather applications that let people check the weather on their phone. The GPS applications help many people every day find their way to new places.
